Extremely Low Frequency Electromagnetic Fields (ELF-EMF) for Oncology Research
The filing describes methods and systems that expose a patient to extremely low frequency electromagnetic fields, either plain or modulated, in the 1–300 Hz range. The fields are delivered through electromagnetic coils or an enclosing field-generating system, with the frequency selected for the cancer cell type. It also describes use alongside chemotherapy, surgery or radiation therapy.
The application is now in examination at the USPTO. Current work refines the claimed system and maps the published laboratory research on low-frequency fields and tumour biology.
